Welcome to Castle Stand! Whether you're a tower defense veteran or completely new to the genre, these tips will help you build a strong foundation for defending your kingdom.
Tip 1: Gold Mine First
Your first build should always be a Gold Mine. The earlier you invest in economy, the more gold you'll have for later waves. A Gold Mine pays for itself within 5 waves and then it's pure profit.
Tip 2: Arrow Towers for Early Waves
Arrow Towers are cheap (50 gold) and effective against the light enemies in waves 1-15. Place 2-3 near the path entrance for consistent damage.
Tip 3: Don't Forget Units
Barracks produce soldiers that physically block enemies on the path. A well-placed barracks near a chokepoint can stall enemies while your towers deal damage. Warriors are tanky, Archers add range, Mages deal AoE, and Lancers are fast interceptors.
Tip 4: Save for Boss Waves
Bosses appear every 10 waves with unique abilities and massive HP. Save 200-300 gold before wave 10 so you can quickly upgrade towers or add new ones when the boss shows up.
Tip 5: Use Your 3 Cards
Before each run, you select 3 cards from your collection. Cards like "Gold Rush" (+30% gold income) or "Tower Power" (+25% tower damage) can completely change a run. Build your deck around a strategy.
Tip 6: Upgrade the Ability Tree
Between games, spend coins on permanent abilities in the 44-node skill tree. The economy branch is the best early investment — bonuses like +10% gold income compound over every single game you play.
Tip 7: Try Different Kingdoms
Each of the 4 kingdoms (Dark Forest, Hellfire Wastes, Frozen Peaks, Shadow Realm) has different enemy types and bosses. If you're stuck on one, try another — you'll earn cards and coins from all of them.
Tip 8: Tower Evolution
At higher levels, towers can evolve into more powerful versions. An Arrow Tower becomes a Rapid Arrow Tower with double fire rate. Plan your upgrades around which evolved forms you want.
